Meetings and Events: What businesses look for when booking a venue
Held annually at London’s Olympia, The Meetings Show is testimony to the size and scale of the meetings and events industry at present. Following the event, in her latest blog, Heather Ethridge – Conference and Events Account Director at Interstate Hotels & Resorts Europe discusses what businesses are looking for when it comes to choosing the right venue for them.
“The meetings and events industry is a highly competitive sector, with venues and destinations across the globe competing to win the business of companies big and small.
“The Meetings Show, held last week (14-16 June 2016) in London, really demonstrated the breadth of choice on offer to businesses, whether they’re looking for a far-flung annual general meeting abroad, or something smaller, closer to home.”
So what are companies looking for when they come to choosing the right meetings and events venue for them? According to Heather, it comes down to three key areas: flexibility, diversity and quality.
