Team Interstate roar to success!
Our Experience. Your Success.©
A determined team from Interstate Europe Hotels & Resorts has completed a gruelling charity event to raise money for Marie Curie, which provides support to those with a terminal illness.
The eight-strong group completed the famous hard core 10k Wolf Run, a unique combination of three kinds of off-road running – mud runs, trail runs and obstacle runs. Competitors tackled a series of tough obstacles designed to test mental and physical strength, skills and stamina across raw natural terrain including open ground, woodland, lakes and thick mud.
And the team, which was made up of Fakhri Barhoumi, Sarita Hawley, Caroline Shaw, Corinne Callaway, Matt Stray, Olivia Rocky, Helen Buckler and Mark Rainsbury, roared to success completing the course and raising a fantastic £1,200 so far!
Mark Rainsbury said: “As Interstate Europe’s charity of the year, Marie Curie is a charity very close to our hearts and we have seen at first hand the wonderful work they do. We wanted to find something a bit different to do as a fundraiser and the Wolf Run turned out to be the perfect thing!
“It was extremely hard and I think we are all still battered and bruised from our exertions but it was so worth it. The atmosphere on the day was brilliant and we had such fun taking part. The whole team is thrilled to have raised such a significant amount of money for Marie Curie as we know how every penny really does help. If anyone would still like to donate to support our cause, we would be very grateful indeed.”
